How do I put my own Production in Players? In the weeks before the start of each half semester members can submit shows to be put on in Players! Firstly, a submission form will be circulated on our website and instagram where you can pitch your show to committee, telling us about your ideas. You can submit something you have written yourself or an already established piece. In order to submit a show, you will also have to assemble a stage crew (lighting designer, costume designers, managers, etc.), but if there's any roles you can't fill, you can ask anyone on committee for help finding experienced people for the job! After you submit the form, you will be invited to a submission meeting where committee will ask you questions about your production. You will then find out if it has been accepted. If it has, you will be given a show week and be able to hold auditions! Don't worry if you've never submitted a show before, you will be given lots of help from committee throughout the process! If you have any questions at all about submitting a show, feel free to contact our wonderful Productions Officer, Naomi Coote, at productions@duplayers.com, and she will be more than happy to answer any questions you have!!
